Forest School Update

Forest School Update

In the week beginning the 14th November our school grounds team came into school to mark out a pathway through what will become our forest area.
The following week, on Monday the 21st November, they came back with 60 trees, plants and bulbs to plant with Year 6.

As you can see this was an enormous task. Everybody worked very hard to plant our new forest and we look forward to future generations of children at our school being able to use the site.

A big thank you also to our local park ranger for his advice and support. He has kindly donated three nesting boxes so that we can enjoy watching the local wildlife.

We would also like to say a special thank you to our caretaker, Mr Higgins, for his support and time liaising with outside agencies, and to thank Mrs Turner, without whom Forest School couldn't have taken place
