Meet our School Council

The School Council elections took place on Thursday 17th September.  There were over 50 candidates from Year 1 to Year 6.  Children had the opportunity to explain to their year group why they should be chosen to represent them on the council.  Children then all had a vote - in KS2 children had to queue as the Polling Station was extremely busy!

"It was very exciting.  I didn't know who to vote for and it took a while for me to fill in my voting slip!" Hamza Year 6

Following the council elections the ballet box was taken away to be counted by a group of independent officers who counted the votes and advised the school on the results.  The results were then announced during an assembly and the children found out who their representatives were!
