Healthy Start is a government initiative to support families to ensure that their child has a healthy start in life. 

Who is entitled?

Are you 10 weeks or more pregnant or have a child or children under 4? And are you entitled to:

• Universal Credit (with a family pay of less than £408 per month) 

• Child Tax Credit (with a family pay of less than £16, 190 per year) 

What do you get?

The scheme entitles you to free vouchers worth £4.25 per week to spend on milk, fruit, vegetables and first stage infant formula milk. These vouchers are worth £8.50 for a baby in the first year.
