Vision, Values and Aims
Safety, Commitment, Aspirations
At Mapledene, our values of 'Safety, Commitment, Aspirations' guide everything we do. They help us to create a learning environment for every child, where every child feels safe, where everyone is committed to enabling every child to be the best they can be, and where every child aspires to be the best they can be.
We are committed to building strong, safe partnerships with parents, carers, and our community, working collaboratively and proactively with external agencies to support every child and family. We ensure an inclusive and respectful learning environment where all individuals are valued, nurtured, and encouraged to reach their aspirations.
Our broad and creative curriculum is carefully tailored to meet pupils’ needs, promoting independence, lifelong learning, and global citizenship. Central to our approach is a Growth Mindset—celebrating effort, learning from mistakes, and recognising every achievement.
With high expectations and unwavering commitment, we inspire all pupils to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually, equipping them to contribute confidently to modern Britain and the wider world.
Our ethos is encapsulated in our school motto.
BELONG, BELIEVE, BE YOU: ACHIEVE
