At Mapledene, Design & Technology (DT) is led by Mrs Ward, who also teaches Willow class.

We use an adapted version of the Kapow scheme of work alongside our own carefully crafted scheme of learning to ensure activities link closely with our classroom topics. This approach helps children build practical skills, develop creativity, and learn to design, make, and evaluate products with confidence.

DT lessons are hands-on, engaging, and designed to make every session meaningful and enjoyable for all children.
