How do Mapledene Primary School know if my child is making good progress?
At Mapledene Primary School, we use a whole school tracking system for core subjects called Sonar. Class teachers use this to identify what children have learnt and their next steps.
For children with SEN, we look at small steps of progress against individualised targets listed on SEND Support Provision Plans, Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
We also use reports provided by outsides agencies to support with setting targets.
We use objective led interventions in all areas of need, to identify if a child is making progress within the area they are working on.
