Here you will find updates on our learning and activities as well as useful links to help you with your learning at home.

Our class is named after world class football player, Karen Carney. Karen grew up in Birmingham and has played for Birmingham City, Arsenal and Chelsea. She has had the privilege of lifting both the Premier League and the FA Cup
trophies. She also represented England Lionesses gaining 144 caps and scoring 32 times.

She retired from playing football in 2019 but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t been busy. Karen can often be seen commentating on Match of the Day and has recently commentated on the Euro finals. Karen believes that much more needs to be done to make football equal for boys and girls.

She has campaigned for the rights of girls and was
recently awarded a medal called an MBE from King Charles.

PE takes place on Monday afternoons. Please ensure that you have your correct uniform.
