Mapledene’s Breakfast Bistro offers all our children the opportunity to start their day with a free healthy breakfast, shared with friends and siblings in a relaxed and welcoming environment in which we also offer a range of fun and interactive activities.

We offer a carefully selected seasonal range of food items to suit all children’s tastes, which we continue to expand and adjust based on demand and feedback.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, parents and carers are required to sign a consent form for their child to attend and to list any known allergies. This is available from the main office. 

Start of the day:

Reception:

September through to before the Easter break, children should access Reception via the Reception doors from 8:30am if they wish to have breakfast. The official start time is 9:00am.

After the Easter break, Reception children join Years 1 to 6, to aid transition ahead of their move to Year 1 in September.

Years 1 to 6:

Children should access the whole school playground from 8:30am, where they will be welcomed onto the playground by members of staff.
 

Children who wish to have breakfast will then be guided to the dining hall entrance, where they will be able to have breakfast with their siblings and/or friends before enjoying the many activities available on our playground.
 

Children who do not wish to have breakfast will be free to enjoy our range of fun activities led and supervised by members of staff.

The official start time for all year groups is 9:00am.
