At Mapledene, each child in Year 1 and above is in a house. They work as part of the team to earn house points from staff at school. House points may be awarded for things like:

• Good behaviour

• Showing our school values of respect, co-operation and resilience

• Good work

• Going above and beyond to help an adult or child

Each week, house points are counted across the school and we have a house point league.
 

Every week, the league is updated based on the house points across the school and is announced in Celebration Assemblies by our House Captains. 

• 5 points are awarded the house with the most house points that week

• 3 points are awarded to the house with the second most house points that week

• 2 points are awarded to the house in third place that week

• 1 house point is awarded to the house with the least amount of house points that week
