Please note that our PE days have changed to Tuesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Fridays children in Year 3 need to come into school in their PE kits!

Greek Morning

This week, we had great fun with our Greek morning. We wrote about a busy, Greek market, cracked a mystery code sent from Zeus using our maths skills and even tried some Greek food. We got to try some feta cheese, olives, bread sticks, pitta bread, olive oil and figs. Check out the photos below of our fantastic Greek morning!

Science Week

This week has been Science week and we have been looking at sustainable food. First, we looked at where different fruits and vegetables come from around the world and labelled them on a World Map. We then discussed how importing all these products contributes to our carbon footprint. Next, we looked at seasonal foods and when they are grown in the UK. For the final part of our project, we designed t-shirts, stickers, badges and banners to promote buying and eating British, seasonal foods in supermarkets to encourage people to shop more sustainably. Check out some photos of our fantastic work below!
